As a reader of both the Enfield Gazette and Advertiser for many years I am very concerned that these publications, particularly the Gazette, have fallen below the standards these publications previously maintained. As a sports fan I am very disappointed that in the past few weeks the sports section has been cut by half in the Gazette.
I understand that more than a third of editorial staff have left without being replaced and key positions are not being filled. In fact I have been told three reporters are producing nine newspapers every week. Hardly surprising standards have declined if this is true.
I hope that you will address these issues and restore the paper to the standard that Enfield residents expect and deserve.
