We are greatly dismayed to read your recent letter. You can be assured that will be sent a letter to Sir Ray Tindle today. Reading your letter took my breath away. The local press have been the main stay of the history of Enfield and its residents for years and years. It brings together huge members of the community when we can see what others are contributing to the local society, giving information about so many aspects of interests and needs in the Borough.
I write as someone who has appreciated your help on behalf of thousands of children and young people who have been singing with me for over fifty years and without your help their families, friends, and local residents would have lost so many wonderful concerts that these young people have given, many of whom are now teaching music or in the music industry. Your articles on so many other topics have been so interesting and we have supported countless other organisations having read details in the press.
We really really hope that Sir Ray Tindle will look again at his proposal and allow our press to continue being something special in the heart of Enfield.
With all the good wishes ,
June & Christopher Keyte
